{"id":53388,"date":"2019-03-19T05:17:18","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T09:17:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nsnsports.net\/?p=53388"},"modified":"2019-03-20T03:21:39","modified_gmt":"2019-03-20T07:21:39","slug":"great-winter-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nsnsports.net\/blog\/uncategorized\/great-winter-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Winter Season !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Jack Healey<br \/>\nIt was a terrific boys and girls basketball season and a terrific girls and boys hockey season as well.<br \/>\nWe still have the All-Star Senior basketball games coming up at Windsor High School and the Rotary Hockey Classic at Essex on Saturday.<br \/>\nThe four basketball All Star games at Windsor High School will be video cast free of charge on the Northeast Sports Network, nsnsports.net<br \/>\nCongratulations to the champions:<br \/>\nGirls basketball<br \/>\nDivision  1- St. Johnsbury<br \/>\nDivision 2-Fair Haven<br \/>\nDivision 3- Thetford<br \/>\nDivision 4-West Rutland<br \/>\nBoys basketball-<br \/>\nDivision 1- St. Johnsbury<br \/>\nDivision 2- MSJ<br \/>\nDivision 3- Thetford<br \/>\nDivision 4 -Danville<br \/>\nSt. Johnsbury and Thetford sweeping state championships<br \/>\nBoys hockey<br \/>\nDivision 1-Essex<br \/>\nDivision 2-Woodstock<br \/>\nGirls hockey<br \/>\nDivision 1-Essex<br \/>\nDivision 2-Missisquoi<br \/>\nEssex sweeping the state championships in Division 1.<br \/>\nCongratulations to other winter champions as well including Mt. Anthony with its 31st straight state wrestling championship and Rutland High with its 5th straight state cheer leading championship in Division 1 and its 2nd straight Division 2 New England championship and Mill River winning its 2nd straight Division 2 state championship in cheer leading.<br \/>\nRutland High&#8217;s Jamison Evans winning the Boys Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year. St. Johnsbury&#8217;s Sadie Stetson winning her third straight Girls Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year.<br \/>\nA wonderful tribute for former Celtic Isaiah Thomas of the Denver Nuggets last night at the TD Garden.
