SOUTH BURLINGTON<\/strong> — Jordan Hines ran for four touchdowns and the Essex Hornets secured a home field berth in next week’s Division One Playoffs with a 32-15 win over the South Burlington Rebels on Friday night on Munson Field.<\/p>\n Hines scored on runs of eight, fifty-five, five and nineteen yards for the Hornets, who built a 26-7 halftime lead on route to their sixth win of the season. \u00a0Grady Corkum scored Essex’s other touchdown on an eight yard second quarter touchdown pass from quarterback Otis Crock.<\/p>\n South Burlington scored on a one yard second quarter run by Manny Boardman and a fifty-four yard third quarter pass from quarterback Kevin Papaariello to Paul O’Neil.<\/p>\n Both Hines and Boardman rolled up impressive yardage totals in the game, which was played in a steady misting rain.<\/p>\n Essex goes to the playoffs at 6-2. The Rebels will play a consolation round game next week.
