High Schools: VPA Announces Seedings, Pairings, for Boy’s Basketball and Girl’s and Boy’s Hockey Tournaments

MONTPELIER — The Vermont Principals Association has announced the seedings and pairings for the 2017 State Tournaments which will get underway with playdown round action later this week.

In Boys Basketball Division One CVU earned the number one seed, followed by number 2 Rutland, number three Burlington and number four Missisquoi.

In Division Two the top seed goes to Mill River, followed by number two Enosburg, number three Lyndon Institute and number four U-32.

In Division Three Williamstown owns the number one seed, followed by number two Hazen Union, number three Twin Valley and number four Windsor.

In Division Four Twinfield is the top seed, followed by number two Proctor, number three Arlington and number four Danville.

In hockey, top seed in Boy’s Division One goes to Spaulding, followed by number two BFA-St. Albans, number three CVU and number four Essex.

In Division Two boys hockey Hartford in the top seed, followed by number two Harwood, number three Burr and Burton and number four North Country.

In Girls hockey the top seed in Division One is Essex, followed by number two Middlebury, number three Rutland and number four BFA-St. Albans.

In Division Two girl’s hockey Rice is the top seed, followed by number two Woodstock, number three Missisquoi and number four U-32.

The tournaments will get underway on Tuesday night with 17 playdown games in boy’s basketball and one playdown in girl’s hockey.
