LYNDONVILLE — Griffin Stalcup threw for five first half touchdowns and the Burr & Burton Bulldogs extended their record to 7-0 with a dominating 70-22 win over the Lyndon Institute Vikings on Saturday afternoon.
Stalcup hit four different receivers for scores, including a pair to Jay McCoy as the Bulldogs opened up a 49-0 halftime lead. McCoy then took over as the quarterback on the first series of the second half and connected with Ryan Duddy on a 39 yard touchdown strike.
In all eight different BBA players scored touchdowns, including sophomore Jay Baker who accounted for their last two scores on a nine yard run and a 75 yard interception return. Carter Vickers scored one TD on a 55 yard run and booted seven extra points in the win.
LI scored all of their points in the second half with quarterback Marcus Reeb scoring on a two yard run and hooking up with Cameron Murray on a 30 yard touchdown pass. Olawale Junaid added the other Lyndon score on a two yard fourth quarter run.
BBA takes their 7-0 record into a Division Two showdown next weekend against Bellows Falls. 0-7 Lyndon prepares for the annual rivalry game next Saturday at St. Johnsbury Academy.
