MONTPELIER — The Vermont Principals Association has set the seedings and pairings for the 2020 Vermont state tournaments which begin this weekend.
In boys Division One Essex is the top seed, followed by number two BFA-St.Albans, number three Rice Memorial and number four Stowe.
In boys Division Two Harwood earns the top seed, followed by number two Woodstock, number three Milton and number four Hartford.
In girls Division One Burlington/Colchester is the top seed, followed by number two BFA-St.Albans, number three Essex and number four Harwood.
In girls Division Two the top seed goes to unbeaten Spaulding, followed by number two North Country/Lyndon Institute, number three CVU and number four Missisquoi.
In playdowns this weekend, on the boys side in D-1 CVU travels to Rutland on Friday night while South Burlington travels to Ledde Park to play Colchester on Saturday night.
In boys D-2 playdowns Burlington goes to Burr and Burton and St. johnsbury visits Missisquoi on Friday night … while on Saturday Northfield plays at Lyndon Institute, U-32 travels to Hartford and Mt. Mansfield visits Brattleboro.
On the girls side there are two playdowns on Saturday in D-2, as Hartford travels To Stowe and Burr and Burton visits Brattleboro.
