If I turn out to be wrong I’ll certainly admit it, but right now it sure looks like the Vermont High School basketball Division One boys race is shaping up as a four team affair.
With Burlington’s 66-58 win over Rutland last night the Seahorses are 9-0 on the season … the Raiders are 7-2 with both of their losses coming at the hands of BHS … Rice is 7-2, with a one point loss to Rutland and a ten point loss to an out of state powerhouse from the Albany area… and Mt. Anthony is 7-1 with their lone defeat a three point double overtime loss at the hands of the Seahorses.
If any of the other D-1 teams in the state can prove me wrong than go do it … but right now I’d say BHS,RHS, Rice and MAU can already starting booking their tickets at the Patrick Gymnasium for the beginning of March.
