As I mentioned before, and I obviously have my finger on the pulse, Division II Girls hoops is wide open-like Grand Canyon wide open. Why do I say that? Witness previously 7 and 9 Mill River beating previously 12 and 4 Hartford last night! It's evident that on a given night anyone can come out victorious. It's nerve racking I'll tell you that! I called Tom Haley of the Rutland Herald to ask him the Springfield/FH score(FH won 39-37 I was told), and he told me about the Mill River win. Congrats to the Minuteladies(or are they the Minutemen?)-another team you have to watch.
I like the Jeremy Lin story, I do not like Carmelo Anthony. If I were the Knicks I'd trade him for a couple of used Jordan's and a Spalding basketball. The Knicks were fine thank you very much without him. Right? Witness last night's embarrassing loss to the Nets. Wow. Wasn't all Melo's fault as the Knickerbockers didn't play any defense. But, he's part of that equation too.
Of course the Mavs beat the Celtics sans Rondo last night. Would've beaten them anyways. So all the naysayers are right I guess when they say that Ainge got a championship but might have set the team on a course for losing for a long time. But-and it's a big one-the C's did get another championship. Was it worth it? I don't know.
